Classic Mini 7 port head on a round nose?
I know a few mini gurus on here. My neighbour asking if a 7 port head would fit on his round nose.

My friend is doing this at the moment and he does not want to cut the round nose (carbon) bonnet, it measures 150mm from inlet flange to bonnet, a Weber DCOE body is 118mm so would need a very short ram pipe of around 20mm, no sandwich plates and good engine mounts ! We always planned to use throttle bodies and have just ordered a jenvey 91mm kit which should work well and give more choice of ram pipe length and filters. Other options are Specialist Components who do kits for 7 port heads, or bike carbs / bodies if you prefer to go that route. I can get you some photos etc once the kit arrives if you like.
