Yeah, but how many days no then that are a yes now. As is 6 years extra significant. And what's happened to milages in that time; up is course, but at a slower rate?

To even up the numbers a bit with my valid statistics.

Got my rover engined S2 111S in June 2010 so after initial poll date, no HGF in 4 years of owning it, gone now so yes still applies.

Had a S2 yota for 2 years (same age 2004),
trouble free NO
engine blow up YES
cost lots more to fix/replace than HGF YES
Debatable whether oil starvation and/or low oil level caused it

started off as the occasional bit of missing coolant, small bit of steam on startup when cold, so tried putting k-seal as a temporary fix as i use it every day. However, engine seemed to be hydraulically locking this morning, emptied a cup of water out of the bore of cylinder 3, then started the car ( assumed it had just leaked in through a small break in the gasket as it was sitting for a couple of days. Then watched as it emptied the entirety of the cars coolant out of the exhaust as steam.

Had a 111S K-series for a couple of years. Hammered it generally; many trackdays. Never missed a beat. Now have a Cup 220 and still miss the old one!
