Steve, would be interested to hear the Crieff route? Do you head off via drum and avoid the dualler?
Our route home was;
From Knockhill turn left and head to Powmill. Drive towards the petrol station in Drum, but take the A823/A822 to Crieff and then through the Sma Glen (which is an excellent road) to Dunkeld. From here drive to Blairgowrie and over Glenshee to Braemar.
We also caught up with two motorcycle police a few miles before Dunkeld and I wondered if they had been waiting on the Sma Glen road with their speeding detection devices. They headed south on the A9 at the Dunkeld junction.
Steve.

Who was in the little white s1 with duct tape clam repairs?
Really want to know what times you guys were putting in? I was two up all day and only really puns my groove again at the end of the session... Give me a target!
Managed 64-65s with a 100kg passenger in my 111s, I would like to know what is achievable in a standard car?

white duct tape s1 was Scott Robson.
Scott was between 60-61 seconds in SLS this year so wouldnt have been any quicker on a trackday, especially with some of the lunacy going on between Mike, myself and him!

Yup, correct... not bad for what was once an MX5 ( hairdressers car!

)
The engine itself has now covered 116k and has been turbo'd for the last 8k (running 240hp) with no real drama's.
It's at the limit of where it can safely run without opening and forging the engine. That being said, with the aero of a house-brick it does need more power (obviously

) so I may need to open her up and aim for 300bhp for next year and try and get below 55s

300BHP!?!?!?
You might have to put more weight on to keep the traction.
Thanks for taking me out Karl. Muchos appreciated and confirmed I need to build one so the deposit was paid that night.

The engine has been changed and now makes 111hp at the wheels, probably 130-140 at the crank tops. Desperately needs a suspension and bushing refurb though. I almost broke the minute at SLS this year with a time of 1:00:06

Hi all, dont come on here all that much but going to start alot more.
I was in the red VX220 on Saturday and had such a good day out there with everyone! I normally do the trackscotland days but really enjoyed being out with similar cars.
Enjoyed meeting some of you and hope to do a few more lotus/sidc days!

I was following you for a short time while laughing out loud at the large flames coming out of the back of your exhaust. It was pure theatre

What's the spec of your car?.....as few of us were discussing the possibilities in the pit lane.

In case Craigy doesn't pop by to respond - I spoke to him in the pitlane and he was telling me it's running a 380bhp Calibra (C20LET ?) engine and, I think, VXR management.
Pretty impressive!

Sorry for the slow reply guys but karl had it covered
It is indeed a c20let from an old calibra with a garrett slapped on for good measure, PWR chargecooler and water injection just to keep the intake temps down a bit.
Quickest time round knockhill so far is a 57.5 at SLS in 2015. Not recorded any times since then but I now have an extra 100bhp on that so dont know what it will do now.
Cheers!
