Inexpensive and effective. Only downside is it doesn't have a built in timer.
I get round that by fitting it to a clockwork light timer you use when away on holiday

Re: Watch lovers?
Why would you need a timer, does the watch winder not just 'turn/move' intermittently to keep the watch at the correct time?rossybee wrote:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Time-Tutelary- ... B001LENINKC7Steve wrote:Can anyone recommend a watch winder?

Re: Watch lovers?
Aren't you supposed to give us a 'Boag shot' of the new watch before you ask about winders?
I have a Wolf (https://www.wolf1834.co.uk/item/456002/ ... ers-cover/) that's excellent but not cheap. I didn't buy it, although I probably did pay for it. Has a timer and rotates in both directions. It sits next to my bed and it's really quiet.

Can I pop round one night to have a look at your winder please? Also how about exchanging the books that we spoke about previously.
I will give you a shout when I get home and maybe you might have your car back by then.
Steve.
Ps. Thank you very, very much for what you did yesterday.

You're never going to believe me, but I had typed in this before I noticed my mistake; Can I pop round and look at your wonder please?hendeg wrote:There's an offer I can't refuse.C7Steve wrote:Can I pop round one night to have a look at your winder please?

Is 'cycling' the new code word now Gary?C7Steve wrote:Also how about exchanging the books that we spoke about previously.

Re: Watch lovers?
This one being relatively cheap rotates the whole time it's switched on, and I use it when away offshore/abroad so weeks at a time, and a watch should only be wound a few hours each day.C7Steve wrote:Why would you need a timer, does the watch winder not just 'turn/move' intermittently to keep the watch at the correct time?rossybee wrote:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Time-Tutelary- ... It operates silently, but the clockwork timer doesn't

Re: Watch lovers?
I have a soft spot for these, you have to be careful as they were designed for a 1.3v battery. If you stick a 1.5v battery in it and the tuning fork is close to bottom limit in thickness it will run fast. First transistor watch too. It nearly became the moon watch.douglasgdmw wrote:Having a look through the Classic Car Auction and dropped down to the watch section.

Re: Watch lovers?
On the Watch Winder (or is it wonder) front.....I need a winder but needs to be able to hold minimum 3 watches....any recommendations... I bought a 2 watch winder off fleabay a couple of years ago but it packed in after 6 months and of course the seller was no longer around.......
FYI I do not want to pay the price of a half decent watch on a winder.....
