This time the issue had manifest itself as a misfire, it cleared up after a wee rest, then it was not too bad at low gear high revs EML was on whole time. anyway I cracked on for a good bit then it became a full time misfire with a flashing EMLif I touched the throttle, so I gingerly hobbled back to Inverness where she was recovered from.
Craig called today and asked if I'd hit the limiter or buzzed the engine, I did once hit the limiter out of a wet junction but that was way before any issues. He said one plug was closed and it ran again once opened. He also said one cylinder was down on compression so bore wash was the probable cause, he tried to create a seal again with oil but to no avail so its now.... New Engine Time.
Ideally I'd love a 160VVC in there or something a little fruitier than what came out!
Anyone got anything lying around?
