Yeh, good point :D

Stu
I'd just like to point out that the recent long term problem with my car has nothing to do with Zenos or their build quality.

It was absolutely running great and problem free until Murray Motors made a complete backside of uprgading the brakes. Since they got their hands on it it has had no functioning brakes. They have since decided that Craig Moncrieff caused their incompetence - how they got to that conclusion is mind boggling.
They did an 8 hour job on the car, then blamed Craig for the brakes not working despite the fact that on the third attempt by them to fix the problem I only got a mile from MMC before the front brakes started locking on. Craig had a quick look at it (as that is where I was going - to meet everyone heading out to Bilster Berg) and decided he couldn't help at that time and the car had to go back to MMC. After that they quoted me 24 hours, yes -24 hours labour to correct their errors.

I will post up the entire story as soon as I get a chance - it's a bit long so will take me a while to write it up.

Good new though - the car should be back on the road soon :D

I've heard chat the business plan was the E10 would prove the chassis concept and create capital to do the expensive stuff (doors, roofs, etc) for the next model. Start of with something that'd appeal to the hardcore and build a buzz.

Having had a go of Kenny's round KH, I think they kinda lost the plan somewhere - it actually rode pretty well and felt much more of a road car than a track special (if you ignore the lack of windscreen etc) Even the power delivery would really suit it in the road environment and I'm sure it was brilliant fun on the road. It drives more Elise than Caterham.

I can't help but think if they made the original E10 a much more hairy-arsed track car, or if they'd made some concessions to road comfort (a windscreen that was on it from the beginning and didn't look stolen off a mini moke, plus a rudimentary emergency roof) then it would have made more sense, but it was positioned somewhere in the middle of two worlds with the disadvantages of both.
You're bang on about the concept Shug - the E10 was to prove the chassis, the E11 was going to be the proper road car, a coupe with doors and all the trim.

The E10 however was never designed as a track special, it is primarily a road car and it does drive beautifully on the road, the suspension is superb in my mind, every bit as good as the Lotus cars. I should've specced a windscreen though, you live and learn :blackeye

I'm ever hopeful that someone will buy Zenos as a going concern. There's a lot of development been done, the chassis concept works well and from what I've heard the E11 was well underway, looking fantastic, and close to being shown to the public.

I'm off to write to Chris Evans.............

That was kinda my point Kenny (not well enough explained, it seems) ;)

You buy a car with no doors, roof, or even windscreen as standard - you don't expect it to be a road biased car. They made a mistake there (obviously it appealed to you, but they almost certainly minimised potential customers) Road car? Needs a screen, roof and windows for 90% of customers. Track car? Needs more focus for 90% of customers - Zenos, falls between two stools.

Not a criticism of your choice as even if you're missing 90% of customers, that means there are still 10% that people (that you're clearly one of) fall into - just a criticism of the decisions they made when setting it up as a proof of platform exercise, that was also supposed to pay the bills as it went.
