Any thoughts on the sunday trackday at Spa?

It's 500 euro, not sure if he has any spaces, and also not sure if Matt will cover it for insurance?

What were the plans for the ring?

Nurburgring north loop is open for tourist laps on Sunday. At €30 a lap it's a bit more expensive than it used to be but you could get some 16 laps for your €500. I'm hoping it'll be really quiet given the time of year.

I plan on maybe doing a lap or 3 to see if I can remember where it goes and doing a bit of spectating.

Would love to but I am staying at the ring on Sat eve and booked a car to drive around on the Sunday morning at the ring.

RAC have quoted me 62 quid for 1 off breakdown cover (mid level cover, base level only covers you upto 500 quid for getting car home)

You need to create an online account and purchase laps from there (or an installed app)

For those without smartphones the lap tickets (with the QR code) can be printed off beforehand.

I only pay around £100 for a multi trip annual policy, one-off at £62 seems expensive?

AA quoted me £240 for annual cover (all countries) including members discount . Guess the 2-11 is a bit of a higher risk than the V6 was

It's an annual policy so that was for the elise which being older must've been higher risk.

I have just renewed mine today, due next week, so must have been taken out for the VX years ago for Spa.

£122 for full cover, and parts and labour.....wonder if that covers brake pads ....

Yeah, its 113 for the full year or 63 for comp mid level cover one off or 53 quid for the cheapest.

Made sense to me, hopefully not use it at all, but 3 big trips this year so far, so not a bad insurance policy.
