Coalition of chaos, Politics works on soundbites. You answer every question with the same answer regardless of wither it's relevent or not. When it's shown on TV they play your message because they have nothing else.

Listen to May's responces at prime ministers question time yesterday. It's the same phrase over and over again.
I agree, all political parties use the sound bite, its just in Scotland the nationalists seem particularly vociferous in their application of it..

Most examples I have seen are the conservatives but then I was only really looking at UK polotics, their is an excellent example floating about somewhere of the the x-chancellor being asked 5 or 6 questions and the answer always followed the same format.

The goverment are serious/looking into the thing you have just mentioned and it's important for "soundbite"

Yes, I'd say the most famous of all in recent times is May's Brexit Means Brexit, which of course was simultaneously applauded - presumably by some Tory supporters, and criticised, by everyone who didn't applaud it as it made absolutely no sense!

My issue, as others have pointed out, is that the SNP have moved onto rape. A topic which absolutely should not be used for waging political warfare.
Of course, this is nothing new. We've already discussed the SNP singling out and name calling anything that resembles a Tory.
I find it unacceptable that public figures condone name calling of any form, but then I guess that even in the playground it was clear to see that people listened to the bullies..

Many groups and people have issue with the "rape clause" what other snappy title would you have preferred they use to publicise it? The sexual assault clause is not going to generate half the publicity / column inches. It's also a bit unfair to single out the SNP as every party has used the phrase.

So what is your issue with the "rape clause" ?

Anywhere else in the UK it appears to be a none issue for all parties. It is only the SNP with their singular purpose that is making it a despicable issue. And ironically it is only the SNP who have the power to do something about it locally. I think the fact that it would cost them more than £50m a year is the reason they bleat about it rather than do something about it.

We seem to have quite a bit of blue in the Saltire after the recent local elections. I was very surprised by the results. How does this bode for Indyref2? My humble opinion is that it knocks it back quite firmly, but we may need to wait another few weeks before we can confirm that, or, do we see a different set of outcomes for the general, as opposed to the local, elections?

Nah. Sturgeon has claimed "why are parties making the local Elections about independence?" So any suggestions the support for Tories is a message will be shouted down to distract from lack of achievement / substance.

That said, I too am impressed by the results. And even a wee bit sorry for Labour.

God the unionists talk more about independence than the SNP do. It's their big stick to bash Sturgeon as it gets you lot all hot under the collar.

Also how does an SNP increase not give them more of a mandate?

If this is the standard of their senior politicians they are never likely to get back into power:

Well this unionist is well aware of the following

From now until the 8th of June the SNP will be telling me a vote for the SNP is NOTHING to do with independence

As of the 9th of June all votes for the SNP is a vote for independence

So lets call them out on that bollocks now as it is the same that was said in 2015 and 2016

And remind me again

How many hours have the SNP dedicated in the last year to debating education since Nicola said judge me on education?

A big fat ZERO

The SNP are a single issue protest group and nothing else.

And i take it by calling us "you lot" you are firmly in the SNP group

Actually, I think you will find we have several big sticks and a MOAB of a stick!

The MOAB is the fact that the SNP have not been enable to pass any legislation in Holyrood (i.e actually govern and move the country forwards) for over a year. Boom!

The big sticks are called:
Education
Police
NHS
Economy

Cheers.
