Has anybody changed their vote about independence??
Re: Has anybody changed their vote about independence??
Was there a rumour that Corbyn and Abbott were once lovers?
Can you imagine the offspring of that match?

Those EE graphics are certainly easy to digest.

Indeed. Though I'm now confused as to how SNP's 431 seats can be both a -7 loss * and a +31 gain ** at the same timecampbell wrote:Those EE graphics are certainly easy to digest.

* based on notional seats after boundary changes calculated by BBC
** I have no idea what that number is based on!
Re: Has anybody changed their vote about independence??
I guess there is a skewed figure as we have more Councillors (like we need more!!). Boundary changes mean there are different constituencies with increased representation. Glasgow went from 79 to 85 Councillors, so if that was reflected elsewhere the overall number increased.
However the figures are cut the Tories can rightly claim a triumph in their upsurge in numbers . I think (hope) the General Election will show that and a decrease in SNP support.
If you look at the numbers from the Council election in detail the number of Councillors elected at late stages in the count against those at stage 1 or 2 reflects that the SNP standing multiple candidates worked strongly in their favour.
In Glasgow SNP stood 56 candidates 13 more than Labour and some of them scraped through on very low voter numbers.
Time will tell but I think SNP have passed peak support

Re: Has anybody changed their vote about independence??
Seeing that the SNP have painted all tory voters as the most evil people who have ever existed at any point in the history past present or future
I find it somewhat amusing the amount of votes us tape enablers have gained
Speaking of tape
Any chance of any answers on why the "tape clause" is so terrible

Re: Has anybody changed their vote about independence??
the scrapping through bit is evident throughout. Lots was made of the conservative "Ferguslie Park" councillor, 1. There is no such ward it's paisley north ( it has some nice bits) he scrapped through on tge 10th round! With 13% of the vote, don't get me wrong that's what is good about proportional representation, pity the Conservatives were against it when we had a chance to do it nationally.j2 lot wrote:I guess there is a skewed figure as we have more Councillors (like we need more!!). We will never have every voter happy every time. I would just like my district, my country and my island run with a bit of care and attention and a fair dose of honesty and transparency.
That last bit involves an ability to admit mistakes and say sorry. Qualities that seem to be lacking in front line politicians of our time
Hey ho.

The big sticks are called:
Education
Police
NHS
Economy
When compared against the rest of the UK?
Grammar schools are bad
£6k a year for university tuition
Heads resigning because of the mess they are making of it.
Crime up
Murders up
Jeremy hunt is hated,
Doctors on strike
NHS on it's knees during the winter months
Brexit
Or are tge SNP responsible for all of the above?

Here we go again. Tell you what. Just for once let us not compare with the rest of the UK and just look at our own Governments performance in these areas as they are all subject to Holyrood control. Now, what say we?BiggestNizzy wrote:The big sticks are called:

Why are Grammer schools bad? I went to a comprehensive but know many who went to one and some did well some did not. Just like in my comprehensive.
I think you'll find plenty of teachers in |Scotland are leaving because of the mess
Crime and murder up in Scotland too. Must be the time of year eh?
Sturgeon is hated by many
NHS on its knees up here too
Brexit is a democratic activity.
All emotive pish designed to turn attention from the simple fact that the one topic party SNP Government have done chuff all for anyone in over 12 months. Why get more powers when you cannae even use the ones you have?
