Yeah I know I need to get out more...remember, my 3 years only span a few thousand miles and few of those on track

im told they are crap in the wet but great in the dry.
With the impending weather id also get bfgs, great for a bit of predictable tail out action which as i know only too well you love!

Maxsports are comedy in the wet, followed Shug for a little way in the pouring rain at 15 mph he was all over the place!
John Reid kindly leant me a set to try for an afternoons road run. Good fun in the dry, in the wet (Or even damp!) they are a liability.

I think 195/50/R15 and 225/45/ZR16 should do you ... (oh and Ross, you could consider a set of these for your spare rims too if you're listening!).
Wheels around are able to supply these if you give them a bit of notice.
Another place is Jim Dickson tyres in Cumbernauld (IIRC) - nice people and good pricing on Toyos.
Cheers,
Robin

I refer my learned friend to my previous answer... "poof.....

 ."...
Paul, if you want to try them your welcome to. there on my spare set of wheels just now. I kind of agree with Rich, they are not a good all weather tyre. There Ok if its just damp but they will kill you in the rain.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

I agree - they're local to me and have always used them. Was in speaking to young Jim today...
He said he can get Fuldas for 65 quid (rears)- right i know they're not advans, but since i'm skint, got baldy rears (one with a nail) and crimbo just round the corner, i'm seriously thinking about them to get me through into the new year.
Anyone tried them?

Toyos are ~£240 I'd go with them if possible as a budget tyre, especially through winter. The problem with most tyres from what I have gathered is the compounds are designed for your average mondeo to do 20k miles on so tend to be quite hard. Not what you need on a car that weighs half as much and is twice as quick (to 100 tuts anyway!)
