club 100 D/max karts

Post by p4ilip » Mon Aug 28, 2017 2:00 pm

Hi everyone, I wondered if anyone had ever taken part in or knew about either of the above karting championships/ races before?

Both arrive and drive style, 2 stoke karts, club 100 is old school TKM , direct drive, dmax looks like a rotax junior engine, with a clutch.

All the tracks are south I think, so a lot of traveling, when there are 4 tracks in Scotland to also look at.

That's what I'd thought as well. It's all based quite a way down south which makes it more of an effort to get to. If it visited Larkhall would anyone pay £175 to drive a racing kart in a race?

I wouldn't think so....better getting your own, and having some fun.

I think it is excellent value, I just wondered if anyone else did. I'd like to arrange something similar but just thought I'd gauge interest on here. I think it is ideal for someone who has an interest in motorsport and wants to race but doesn't have the space or time or spare funds to prepare a vehicle themselves.

I think you are right, the only problem with it in Scotland is the distance to travel, and if you were thinking of starting something similar, it's the volume of people who you could get to do it. It would not be cheap to get off the ground, and maintain. Then there is the question of where do you race.?

You can rent a rotax outfit and go and race against stu at crail?

Duncan White at Saltire Motorsport can supply everything you need.

The second man to beat ;-)

Having quite a good year, bit feel that my chassis is now holding me back, will make a change for next year hopefully.
I missed a round due to work, but get a drop round anyway. Still loving it, and am looking at going to Larkhall and Rowrah before the end of the year. (and before I get my new chassis)

I could do with a new chassis, this one is getting a little broken, old and fat. Where can I order a new one?

Dude, you know fine well a chassis is no use without an engine, and yours has been remapped by Stav

 I get this, as my Mrs is from Puerto Bo'ness. In fact, I spotted your old S2 when at the junction a year or two ago and still have a look to see if it has ever moved!
