Ooh point in fact Mike, I did invite Verian when I was sussing out the original lie of the land, but she was already going to Ireland to see Claire. That was one of the contributing factors for it being that weekend so that the guest of honour was not on his own that weekend. Plus it fell on April Fools Day which had a nice ring to it given himself

I prefer forums to Facebook/Whats app but seems to be the way of the world that forums are dying out. Agree with Doms comments. Certainly IM is fine for off the cuff stuff but for technical, meets, long term stuff forums are archived and searchable. Been the most postst on this forum over past 48 hours than at anytime since i joined 18 months ago .

I think that was because originally it was a dozen people for a quite run and dinner. Had she known (and us for that matter) that it was 60 odd people and a right piss up the outcome may have been different. Its all ancient history now and as you mentioned we'll get her to the next one whenever that might be.

Also, didn't you ask to join the biker WhatsApp group, despite not being interested in bikes, and then leave because you didn't like the language (because we're all cnut)?
Yup, Dom was on the WA SE Bikers group for a while but he left. WA isn't for everyone as it can be relentless. Plus it's full of cnuts too.

Would having a wee printable "spotted" card help boost numbers? Seen a few Loti about that never seem to respond to spotted posts on here, maybe they don't even know this magical place exists?! An annoying wee card on the windscreen could raise more awareness. Or it might creep people out
There's a similar thing on the vx forum you can print out
Lego Elise couldn't afford a real one spec - sold
Skoda Octavia Scout work shed spec
VW T25 girlfriend's toy/wish it still worked spec - sold
GR Yaris - hooligan spec

Could be a good shout. I recall in the dim and distant past (maybe 15 yrs ago) there was an SE business card type thing.

I recall it was Mr Robertson who pointed new customers to the forum.

The discounts that came with Forum use might bring in some new blood?

I’ll kill it in a few weeks after folks have had a play around.
