Thought about an F Pace on one of those cheap as chips £289 down and £289/ month. Endure basic spec and throw away in 3 years arrangements?

That sounds interesting. Any links or pointers where to look?

Off googling now...

It's in the mix too. Although that was partly to make sure it was a better Golf than Scib has..

That's a great deal. I drove an E-Pace the other week and was surprised by it. It's more roomy inside than it looks.

Only problem is that offer is for basic 2 wheel drive spec. Would be interesting whaf a 4wd comes out at.

Also noticed there are seemingly good lease deals on Golf R estates if you can stomach the very dodgy looks of it.

M140i is what you want/need Dave.

Ps, don't be buying a 2wd F-Pace!

Pps, why no RWD?

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

Yeah.. would have to be the 4wd on an E-pace or similar. Quite like them on paper.

Already have two RWD's in the fleet. This one has to cope with all weathers etc so prefer a 4wd type one for piece of mind etc. At least the Volvo has a chance of success if I take it out today.. whereas an M140 would be stuck on the drive crying.

WINTER TYRES DAVE! Not an issue with RWD if you've got them

I liked the look of the E-Pace and sounds good for £28k but by the time you add 4wd and tick a few boxes to get a decent spec you can soon be paying £50k and at that price the FPace is a better option.

I hear ya. 4wd on winters is even more awesome though..

<BG>

Lucky to have 2 RWD sporty cars on sporty tyres. This is going to be the 'sensible' vehicle.

That is indeed fun!

The XC70 on M&S tyres has been impressive in the snow though. Just a shame the RS4 is so thirsty or that'd be a real contender.

Strangely drawn to the XC40 1st Edition for some reason, but not sure I'd want to spend £40k on one.
