Hope to try and drop by at some point - I'm also happy to sit next to any newbies out for the first time...

I'm by no means whatsoever a KH 'expert', but between five years of trackdays & racing the odd Caterham there, I've a rough idea which way the track goes...

just for info's sake - got a TD quote from Competition Car Insurance and it was only 90 squid. Its more than the trackday itself, but its not so expensive to dismiss out of hand. Probably going to get it this time to see if it makes any difference to the way I drive on track

So, for anyone was thinking they need the insurance before they go on the track, it may be more affordable than you think

Value of the car and maybe experience.
Even if you did get a decent quote, the excess is horrendous that it makes it almost pointless. When I got a one-off quote it was the same sort of price, £200+ and the excess was about £5k.

excess is a grand on mine. Don't get me wrong that's a helluva lot of cash, but purely for the sake of experimenting (and as its my birthday I'd like the reassurance that my weekend won't be ruined completely if I go off bigtime!) I'll be giving it a go.
