Induction/exhaust mods and warranty

I was thinking of adding a Hurricane induction kit and maybe a Stage 2 exhaust at some point in the coming months. I'm sure the Stage 2 doesn't affect my warranty as it's Lotus kit, but does adding a Hurricane invalidate my warranty?

If so, I don't think I'll bother with it.

It should only affect your warranty if anything broke and was proven to be caused by the Hurricane.

Yeah, I'm still swaying between the Stage 2 and the 2bular . . . just can't decide

I like the sound of both. Stage 2 might have just been a wee bitty too loud, so I may end up with a 2bular.

Called Lotus. Very friendly and helpful lady advised that the Stage 2 exhaust does not affect the warranty at all, unless it was fitted by a non-Lotus-approved garage and they can prove that the garage fitting caused a fault. As you guys said, she also advised that the hurricane will only affect the warranty if they can prove that the kit itself, or its fitting, directly caused the problem I'm claiming on the warranty for.

Yay!

Just need to sort out those insurance tw@ts now!

Ed ditched the stage 2 as it was a bit too loud, but I love mine. It can get a bit draining on long motorway runs, but thats about it, and its sounds genial.

If you are getting the induction kit, ensure you get the oil for the filter to allow you to service it. MMC won't do this at a service and as a result your filter will dry up and stop filtering

Not meant as a dig at MMC, just wished i'd known that wasn't being serviced and i'd have sone it myself
