Just to carry 1 MTB. Non electric.
So can it be done?
Never been interested before but reduced fleet now means it could be handy

I've used a Seasucker to put a CX bike on the Exige.
Looked AMAZING. But tie the cranks down to stop it scratching the roof.
The easiest way is to drive the Elise to mine,I'll lend you the van and you can swap then back when you finished!
(Woody claims to have got a bike in the pax seat, and he rides a small too? Might work with an MTB?)

You can fit roof bars to a hard top if you have one. I believe
If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!

Lol
Nice strategy!
Am def going to look at pax seat approaches.
You know what would be awesome? A quick release frame for the pax seat, interchangeable with a caddy that takes bike frame and 2 wheels.
I reckon I might be able to knock out a halfway house solution with wood, to fit over the seat.

Remove rear number plate, drive a couple of 2 inch holes, fashion some pipework that connects to the rear subframe and also makes a rear bike mount. Bosh.

Remarkably viable. If subframe in right place.

Triangulate a rear frame off the tow bracket and undertray bolts...

Maybe Cup only.

Would have suggested seasuckers. Not cheap though.
OR a big padded bag and some bungee clamps secure in passenger seat.
But If you want to play about I’ve got
a Saris 2 bike carrier, needs a few places to secure the straps which suspect would be difficult.
loads of Thule bars/clamps/foot packs to try the hardtop option. Had good intentions to sell all the bits recently (but haven’t ! ), but did find out I have at least 7 different clamps, 6 foot packs, 4 sizes of bars !
Welcome to come through and try mess about with both and see if you can make any work.
Not sure I’d be happy with roof rack clamped to hardtop but seems others have.

Odd looking bike mind you...
(But yes ... a cage like that has infinite possibilities eh!)
