I ran the Edinburgh 10km this weekend.
I tore a leaf out of the racing driver book of excuses ... Had COVID two weeks before the run so that's why I didn't hit my target of 56min. Ended up running it more slowly with a friend and simply had the best time I have had all year. Ended up with just under 1h03 which is probably middle of the pack of similarly aged amateurs

All good thanks, how are the Fords?
Still have the odd lurk on here every now and again!
Yes all still afloat here ta! Eilidh sits her last Higher exam next week and James is enjoying the start of S4 - where did the years go?!?!
E has her Provisional Licence lined up already, for August. God help us

Fantastic to see you keeping up the running Robin. I see you haven't gotten over your phobia of wheelie bins though.

Have signed up for the Glasgow 10km in October ... It is supposed to be a great event If anyone fancies something to target later in the year.

Fancy the Linlithgow 10k in September?
Campbell and I have both entered, course not particularly flat but we could a BBQ or something afterwards if you fancy it?!

Actually I have that in my calendar already. The only challenge is being at the ring the week before
But why not! I will register tomorrow assuming there is still space.

Christ. SE Veterans take on middle distance shocker.
Plenty space around The Ring for training runs

Done - see you in September - I'll be bringing up the SE rear, ooo err missus! Up for a bit of socialising afterwards too, so long as I can use a shower somewhere! I am sure Katie can be persuaded to join us also if we want to include the better halves.
See you all soon, one way or another. Is it time to frolic yet?
