Anyone heading to the Jackie Stewart Classic this weekend? Thought I'd take the kids as there's going to be an RB12 doing a hill run and the oldest is daft on F1.

Hoping it might be like a Scottish Goodwood, but will probably be more like a McDonalds car park meet
Maybe see some Lotus' there (though sadly I am without atm

I'll be there, showing the Alfa - I'll be on the Tayside Classic Car Club stand but more likely to be wandering around.....if you see me say hello
Heard it's gonna be huge this year.
Believe Morgan are treating it as a platform to launch the Super 3 in Scotland so keen to get a nose at that

A very impressive display of Jackies race cars through this career, from E types, BRM, all his Tyrell’s, and Stewarts driven by Barichello and Herbert . The Red Bull, what a noise, I think it was last of the V8s . And seeing Jackie drive his 1969 Matra, legend .

Yep was a great day out and the weather was kind
Enjoyed the Lotus stand but didn't know anyone to chat to - loved the black S1 S160 - sure I've seen it before
Wish I was on the Alfa stand just along from Lotus as I was tucked away at the back with a gaggle of 80s & 90s Mercs - hey ho.
A friend (and ex-SEer) put a deposit down on the Morgan Super 3 which wasn't much of a surprise

as it was just amazing

Yeah, the Red Bull made a cracking noise, shame the sprint track wasn't a bit longer! I had a good ogle at the S1 160's too - really really want one, putting the vantage up for sale this week! Had a good look at the Jim Clark stand and nabbed a free tshirt too boot
I enjoyed the day as did the kids but the organisation was pretty poor tbh and having only one exit that crossed the track meaning that everyone was herded into a narrow crossing point that was only open at times was really quite poor.
Hopefully they get it sorted for next year as there is great potential there

100% this.
I fortunately didn't have to do this, and got the pleasure of a leisurely drove up the sprint track and past the front of the castle which was quite nice
Gave me quite the taster for the Le Mans Classic in under 2 weeks

I went along yesterday - it was a disappointing day. An hour's queue to get in the car park, then another 20mins to buy an entry ticket. And the solid barriers by the sprint track meant you could mostly only see the drivers' helmets. They need to do much better with their organisation, or not bother

I thought the central display of classic cars was good. Loved seeing a Tyrell in the flesh. But the rest of it was badly laid out and managed. With a bit of imagination there was enough exhibitors to create a good show. It was just a bit hap hazard. The in-managed entry queues were completely avoidable and the barriers made the spring track a bobble head parade with only helmets whizzing up the tracks. The noise was great though.
Glad I went. But hope they improve it significantly
