Re: S1 auction
Been watching the S1 Market recently, lots and lots of cars sitting around for months on end at around the 20k mark. Feels like the market just isn't that strong atm for them for some reason.Scotty C wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 8:20 amSomeone is trying to make a few £££van cleef wrote: ↑Sat Jul 09, 2022 1:22 pmhttps://auction.tsaauctions.co.uk/lot-d ... ent_page=0
For sale at thainstone if anyone is looking.

Good luck to them but feels like most cars have lost a chunk of money recently.
Re: S1 auction
Yup mixed bag out there given current climate. I just paid £19,000 for a Azure blue 1999 111s (2 owner) with 69k on the clock. Having just had 4k spent on it by previous owner to ready it for sale. Even then I think that was a tad on the high side to be paying.

Re: S1 auction
I'd say a touch high but the recent spend justifies it - I'm in the market for something and tbh, I think it has to be an S1 again for me so be interesting to see what prices do in the next few months as the weather turns and supply dries up even more.
Re: S1 auction
The last one I bought was a non-runner for £6k.
I cant get my head around the next prices - as much as I love them I'd never pay anywhere near that for one.

Re: S1 auction
I paid 18k for mine as a non runner, in hindsight I should have argued for a bigger discount going by the amount of £ I’m spending to get it up to spec again.

Re: S1 auction
I think all used cars are starting to slip a bit now but the prices are still up and down.
I see there is a smashed S1 (includes parts to repair including chassis) for £12.5k HPI clear. Then you have a S1 with 65k on the clock no issues for £12k. Think the market is still trying to realign.
I agree with the post above regards a lot hanging around at the £20k mark, been watching since the start of the year and very little has moved on.

Re: S1 auction
If you think S1 prices are stupid, someone paid £33750 (presumably plus premium) for a 2CV last week.

Re: S1 auction
If you want a road car the S1 is lovely and probably just about manageable to keep it on the road. Make sure you have a second car.
For a track car I wouldn't look older than a VVC S2, ideally the later ones, but they are all pretty much the same.
Also the S2 is less loved and probably cheaper than some of the S1 cars
I would definitely take the deux chevaux over the S1 shed

Still keeping an eye on the market and seen this go through on CC. Thought it was a good deal based on mileage, spec and work done. Pretty much £15k

Re: S1 auction
Seems pretty good buy. Tasteful upgrades too.
Re: S1 auction
Tidy indeed. And a sensible price. By today’s standards at least

Re: S1 auction
Presumably the higher prices are in part due to the US 25 year rule, and speculation around it?
