Have absolutely loved this bike, so much so, I’ve been tempted into the model above with a good deal. Basso don’t seem to be all that well known but are one of very few brands manufacturing their frames in house and in Italy. I’ve found the quality of the frame and paint to be excellent (the logos and other details are actually a dark chameleon purple/green flip but it's difficult to photograph well). It’s a lovely smooth riding, sharp handling bike. Bought late summer 2021 and only used sparingly that year, this year has been similar. It’s been my good weather so has only seen the odd Scottish shower. The bike should fit approx. 5’7" to 5’11”.
Spec wise, the frame & fork are of course full carbon with a carbon seatpost, Basso’s seatpost isolation system and their propriety stem (100mm fitted) and spacers.
The spacers themselves are carbon, the bike comes with the tricolour spacers pictured (an expensive extra) and the original 3 black spacers. The steerer has been left long enough to accommodate another 2 or 3 spacers. Also included is the original 110mm stem.
Full Ultegra disc groupset
Wheels are brand new Mavic Cosmic 42mm carbon wheels (tubeless compatible) and brand new 28mm Vittorio Corsa 2 tyres swapped from my new bike.
I’ve also swapped on a brand new Fizik saddle (I’d tweaked the one fitted to hold my rear light) and put on new Basso bar tape.
The chain and brake pads are low miles and have plenty of life left
Chainset is 50/34, Cassette is 11-32 (11 speed) and the cranks are 170mm
Handlebars were swapped when new for 40cm wide Zipp SL70 ergo bars that are lighter but have a much nicer in the hand oval section.
I’ve fitted an old set of Shimano SPD pedals for now, happy to include them or a set of Look Keo I have. The computer mount to match the stem and bottle cages are included too.
