Good Elise turnout on Saturday.

And I don’t think any of them was responsible for any of the (several!) red flags. Tricky conditions so I think we can forgive people for pointing the wrong way a few times

Thanks as ever to JohnS for organising, lots of work behind the scenes and nail biting as not all slots filled I believe?

James and I enjoyed ourselves very much (him more than me in fairly sure!!) and was great to see a few long lost faces out there too.

Alan Gourlay needs to post his video of his Fiesta brakes

Shame no Sept event to berate everyone into so let’s have a special effort for March 2026. Otherwise these great opportunities will fold altogether I suspect …

Thanks for the Kind words Campbell, and glad to hear you all enjoyed the day despite the worst weather for many years!

Most of the red flags were for mechanical issues (white fiesta engine let go, black focus oil pump belt). One was to clear the track after someone ran wide at the chicane and dragged some gravel onto the track on the racing line, so rather than risk stone chips and broken windscreen for nice road cars, they put out a red flag to sweep the track clean.

You are correct that with it being Knockhill's 50th anniversary year, there are a few extra events (Time Attack and Mcrae Rally) which mean there are no weekend slots available. We could potentially get a date in November, but there's a good chance the weather could be just as bad and freezing cold so I'd need a lot of people to say yes before considering booking a "winter" slot.

I've uploaded photos to facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 262&type=3 and Alan has uploaded his brake video as a comment!

I'm not sure how anyone manages to get their brakes so hot they are still glowing red on return to the pits on a wet track day :D

Apologies, Alan's glowing brakes video can be seen on the post and not the album, so you'll need to go to: https://www.facebook.com/FlatOutPhoto

Then scroll down a bit until you see the post for the track photos and expand the comments :)
