Snow Tyres?

Post by Victor Meldrew » Sun Nov 27, 2005 1:35 am

Toyo do a set of snow tyres that would fit the mk1 elise. Anyone ever bothered with trying these?
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

I think you'd be wasting your time and money buying tyres to drive the Elise in snow, not to mention the high risk of smashed clams! Never actually driven mine in snow but ice is bad enough. I'd much rather buy a shed for the snow then it doesn't matter if it gets a few scrapes.

While I thank Si has a point I was thinking about getting snow tyres for the rear wheels on mine. Last year I was out in the snow a couple of times and I must say that with a performance tread pattern on the tyres and the light weight of the Liz the performance in the snow is pants.
