Cheers for coming guys, i had a great time. lol@kenwood
Well done to Si, Stu and Ali who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Closely followed by Neil P.

Their fastest laps in the final were only separated by a tenth of a second.
Was grateful for the restart as id been involved in two massive shunts and was knocked back to almost last place. I managed to tag on to the front four after the restart briefly getting up to 3rd place but couldn't keep it together and slipped back to 5th place. Some great racing and lots of fun. Til next time!

Another superb raceland event, well done to Ed for organising it

Well done also to Ali, Stu and Neil, the racing in the final was great fun and fair too. Pity about whatever it was on the track that caused Ali to slide (helped along by the trip onto the grass

), we were having a good fight until that point.
Cheers

Excellent fun had. Lots of wee tussles here and there. Very average performance and an average position but hey ho.
Ed getting all those places at the restart was obviously organisers favour.

Yes not forgetting Neil, qualified pole for the final.

I thought Laura did pretty well. Still feel guilty for T boning her on the first corner but there wasn't anywhere for me to go - honest

I was thinking more along the lines of the Gareth Hunt hand gestures in the 80's coffee adverts

Apart from the odd trip to the local shops, Saturday was my first day out of the house since Xmas eve, after waking up on Xmas morning with a flu bug.
With hindsight, karting probably wasn't the most sensible thing to undertake.
I don't think I was really up to it mentally (kept losing concentration, and going straight [into the tyres] when I should have been turning) or physically (my arms hurt to buggery when I had to get out and try and pull the kart back on track!)
However, it was all bought and paid for, so I couldn't let it go to waste. I had a good time, even though my performances were pretty miserable.
One thing that susprised me was that I really struggled for grip, even though I'd been at receland about 6 weeks previously, in what seemed like pretty similar conditions, and didn't spin once.
That said, some of my offs were due to others pounding me from behind!

Track temperature can certainly affect grip.
Sorry to miss this one - at least it wasn't me me who punted Ali this time

And congrats to Simon on another win.
