We were discussing that at the last autotest while practicing "J" turns.
It really is important to keep the weight of the driver on the correct side so had he gone right hand down then that may have prevented the roll.

Haven't tried with a pax on the roof though :)

anybody want a go?

I'll drive ;)

Idiots.... part of the natural selection process I guess

As Lawrence mentioned; at the last autotest we were discussing how to & how not do these tricks. While I cock about in cars, I do know which way to do J turns. Autotesting (if set up correctly) is a safe and controlled environment to try these tricks.

I'm all for sliding about cars, and doing tricks, but only when folk know what they are doing.

The guy on the roof of that car could very nearly have ended up with serious injury. Don't try that at home  ... unless someone who knows about this stuff is about

 That really is a textbook demo of what Dominic et al were discussing at Dumfries last Sunday... fine line between sliding and digging-in if the weight's in the wrong place isn't it.

Lucky is a good word to use!

Like how you put that Dominic  Bit like Monty Python when the knight's arm gets chopped off and he says "just a flesh wound!"

I imagine that the possible outcomes for the chap on the roof were:
1) got away with it completely - as happened
2) dead

I doubt whether serious injury would come into it.....

IMHO

Though it could be a giggle if you brought in a new style of 360 gate at the autotests
