Hi everybody :wavey

Moved up to Scotland from Yorks a little while ago and thought I'd say hello now my car is back on the road (almost) after a radiator change.

I think I might have met one or two of you, at Croft, Cadwell etc. I'm an active member of NYLOC (North Yorks Lotus Owners Club), well maybe more of a virtual member for most of the year now.

I've had my Elise for nearly three years now and loving every mile (coming up to 50k now!). Its an S2 111S in Ardent Red so quite easy to spot hopefully, although I have yet to see a Lotus north of Inverness.

Prior to my present Lotus, I used to run Elans in the mid 70s/early 80s so after a gap of 20+ years it was great to come back to the marque to find a huge, enthusiastic community, thanks to the Elise. That dates me a bit doesn't it.

Looking forward to a bit of banter. :D

Thanks for the welcomes, chaps.

Photos r055? You surely don't want one of me

We're squatting just outside Ardgay, the jokes I've had from the NYLOC lot . I tell them, 'You don't pronounce it like that!' but it makes no difference. The final move to Lairg should be in a couple of months.

Me cars be laid up since end of October waiting for a few jobs but the roads have been a bit wet so not missed too much. Just needs tyres and MOT now and I'll be getting around more. Looks like there are quite a few cars up here, maybe the spring will bring them out.

The roads up here are fantastic, I promise not to tell too many people about them. I don't think the roads are as empty as they seem though, its just that a lot of the locals are driving fast enough not to get caught

You're OK Dan :wavey, I'm not a mod on here

Your right about the roads round about your neck of the woods, I really like 'the Struie' and the roads north through Altnahara etc :drive

Lairg, eh? That certainly puts you at the crossroads of some of the greatest roads Scotland has to offer. We shall be sure to land in your kitchen on our customary "Campaganza" camping and driving weekend up at old Achmelvich, then ;-)

Welcome aboard, you must surely be our most northerly member?
