gamers help - xbox360

Post by r055 » Mon Feb 05, 2007 6:55 pm

Lynne won an Xbox360 today and is giving it to me...

dont know if its the core system without HD or if it has any games or anything...

having been completely devoted to Sony (PS1, PS2 and PSP), i have no idea of titles available for the 360 other than knowing of PGR and gears of war.

what should be my first purchase?

I'd go with PGR ( I got it for £17.99 at toysrus) and gears of war first.... although Rainbow 6 is also very good if you prefer not to shoot monsters!

If it is the core edition, budget around £100 for the bits you need to make it into a premium system... stuff like the hard disc, HD cable (if you have an HD Display) etc... It's worth doing.....

Sanyo have been giving away free 360 core editions with certain projectors lately so this is a discussion I've had a lot!!

oh and the online gaming on the 360 is sooooperb!!!

Once you get the 360 onto your wireless network at home, you can use it to stream all the music & photos etc. you have on your pc too.... dead cool!

hth..

Bit difficult to enjoy the music on my pc when it's upstairs and my amp, speakers etc. are downstairs in the living room, plus... photos look better on a 40" screen than they do on my pc monitor.... :P

Not sure how good that wheel would be. If anyone is thinking of a wheel, I am presently selling one of mine on eBay - I have just bought a newer model. It will hopefully sell for about £50. It is a PC wheel, not sure but may work with a PS2, possibly an xBox but you would need to check.
