Gone is that anoyinging drop in torque just before the second cam comes in, and it is so much easier to keep the engine in the action zone. You still hear the engine note change with the second cam, but the sensation is one of a rapidly building wall of thrust from 5500rpm rather than the off/on switch of the standard car at 6200. Far better on road, and I expect the improvement will be even more noticable on track (think of the annoying wait for the second cam in third gear just after the KH chicane, for example). I had the reflash done by Hangar 111 - top notch service as they got the ECU back to me 8 days after I posted it to them. I know a lot of people quibble with the price of what is just a software upgrade, but on the other hand you would have to say the boys at Lotus Sport have done a pretty fine job considering Toyota, with all their gazillions of resources, apparently could not get their own engine to work effectively with the cam change below 6k . And the reflash is a similar price to a sports exhaust which adds zilch to the way the car drives save for some noise. So, as the official SE guinea pig on this one, my advice for anyone with a Yota car is go for it. For my money it is a really worthwhile improvement.
