My rears are going to need replaced very soon too, and I was thinking about changing to the AD07s. Is it okay to run AD07s on the rear and keep the Bridgestones on the front or will this mess with the handling of the car?

Just checked them Mack and they seem okay. Might just go for a full set of the AD07s though, depending on MMC fitting costs!

That's what I did :thumbsup

I wouldn't mix them, completely different tread pattern and the Yokos are a bit grippier in the dry, slightly less so in the wet I reckon.

Not called them yet Novice, but will give them a ring on Monday. I'm hoping the Bridgestones last until the end of this month (inc. trip down south for Walshy day), so will probably order them for when I return.

Just thought I'd chime in here - go for a full set of the yokos; beleive the hype. I was amazed at the difference my advans made to the driveability of my S1; its well worth the outlay to get good tyres :)

Called this morning. Parts guy will honour the 10% discount deal. £393.98 for a full set of AD07s(excluding fitting). Fitting through MMC would be around £20 a corner  so will definitely take them elsewhere for fitting. He says he'd send them through to Glasgow MMC free of charge for me to pick up to save me having to go through to Edinburger.

I also called F1 in Newcastle, since I'm going to be at Dan's for my service next week anyway. They will do a full set of AD07s for £437.76 (which is the same as the above excluding the 10% discount), but he includes fitting in that price.

Say that to MMC and get them to fit them for the price they quoted you.

And if not tell them you're going to F1.

Then get in touch with F1 and say Scottish Elises are looking for AD07 suppliers and if they'll give us a discount we'll use them when down at Dans.

Good idea Mack! :thumbsup Will call them tomorrow for some quality haggling! :D

BTW, I mentioned to the guy at F1 that I was coming to Newcastle for my service and he asked where (obviously realising it wasn't with him). He started ranting on about how it's not an official Lotus servce, blah, blah, blah and I told him where to go. I explained that it has no effect on my warranty whatsoever, as long as genuine Lotus parts are used. Also felt like telling him I'd be getting much better quality work at Dan's than going to a dealer! Managed to restrain myself!

I think F1 have a pretty good rep for those people that have actually used them ... cannot blame him for trying to sell the "advantages" of having it serviced with a dealer, seeing as how he is one ;-)

No excuse for scaremongering though!

No contest, AD07s are far better.
