Will a bit of white spirit not clean this up ????

I'm sure some kind of cleaner will take the glue off without having to re do the powder coating.

Tried white spirit and it's helped a bit, but you can still see the drips. Any other cleaners that will get this off??

It's "Kwik-Fix" Super Glue. I think I might have some tar remover in the garage. Will try that tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I'll maybe try something from that website. Cheers Rob.

I'll probably end up just putting up with it and hoping that the dirt hides it!

I fitted the edging with the undertray on the car and just ran the superglue along the inside of the edging, stuck it on and that was it done.

I just used my fingers to spread some clear silicon along the edge of the undertray and stuck the rubber on with that. Jobs a goodun :)

You can get superglue remover, IIRC it's acetone. It might affect the powdercoat but I doubt it. Failing that get an ice cube on it so it's good and cold then see if it will chip off, superglue is strong but brittle.

Stuck the diffuser back on tonight and it looks cool. 8) Really glad I got it done. Just looks so much better - I can't believe Lotus don't send them out the factory like this.

Managed to get the worst of the superglue drips looking a bit better and you don't really see them too clearly once it's back on the car. Just looks like dirt. :D

:withstupid

No need for ice cubes.... just park it outside one evening, or do it next time you are at KH.

Some folk are clearly forgetting that Scotland is not as balmy as Preston

The spare I was left with from the 3m I ordered wouldn't really be enough to be used in place of any cock-ups (which are quite likely knowing me  ). I didn't actually measure what they sent me . . . maybe they didn't send 3 metres. :?

Gorrie, whatever you do, don't use superglue to stick it on if you're a cack-handed oaf like me and liable to drip it! Use something else that won't stain the black powdercoating. :thumbsup
