We were obviously both the type pf saddo that went home from the touring cars with umpteen bags/ brochures/ signed posters/ crappy free baseball hats!!
My brother still has a BMW Motorsport team Schnitzer poster on his wall (with a fecking cool Schnitzer E36 on it) signed by Steve Soper and Jo Winkelhock.
Those were the Golden days of touring cars

VX220 2.2 - Gone
BMW 335d Touring F31- Fastest car on the road
MINI Cooper 1.5- More fun than the BMW

He spent a good few days in his company and was mega excited that his hero actually knew his name! I wasn't jealous- in fact, I think I might still have my signed Cleland poster somewhere.....

actually, they just happened to be in the same motorway services as us en route to the autosport show, as we filled our faces with fried brekkies

Dont want to name drop on this one, but Iv'e been away helping out at the Clio Cup with Cleland Snr and Jnr at Brands and Rockingham this season coz my mate drives the other Cleland Motorsport car and I do his pit board and stuff. Going to Thruxton this weekend and will take some photos and post them for you to see. The racing is a bit like Cowdenbeath on a Saturday, but with 43 cars entered what do you expect!!
p.s - sponsorship packages still available.... (commerial dept)

Yellow S2 135R # 116 - sold - replacement soon....maybe
