It does have every toy imaginable (previous owner ticked every option box it seems) even the dynamic re-route you round the traffic chaos ahead Sat Nav appears to work quite well. Unbelievably cheap too, 8 months old and 7000 miles for £11,500 for a car that listed at £25,000. This was from Motorpoint.

A shame you might have to sell the Elise though. If it's just a commuter car buy something cheap and cheerful and keep the Elise.

I had a severe word with myself last night. The Elise will be staying whatever happens. Hence the Type-R might be on hold in favour of cheaper alternatives...for now

well I agree with most of the posts about not going to Dicksonâ€™s the last time I was up about a year ago now some the cars were not the best examples IMO.

you have two choices if you want one buy one in the country or buy one there and wait two months (this works out the cheapest option and you get exactly what you want. ) I imported mine through my mate Steve at http://www.avantimotorcompany.com he sorted out all the paperwork and the two of us done the SVA work.

Very interesting advice about getting personal importation with help from an expert. Especially if it saves money

Completely agree RE Dicksons. Some really slap dash looking cars on their forecourt and the Sales guy was a bit of a prat when we were looking at Buying a Honda Element.

Just read in EVO that Litchfield Imports are doing the new Civic Type R sedan.... I'd be interesting to see how much you could personally import one of these for. Seems like the perfect solution for a growing family man!

Once there is a model report for the JDM Civic Type R then personally importing one won't be a problem. you could probably get it for about 2+K cheaper than the dealers as its a new car and they tend to bump the prices up a bit.

It looks good from some angles but I didn't like the dash and few other things when I was looking over a couple in Japan. Engine and gearbox are improved again so I guess there will be a few in Elise/Exiges
