seloc sassenach seeks specialist scottish spanner monkey

Post by paulc » Tue May 08, 2007 5:18 pm

Hi All :wavey

It seems I might be venturing north of the border to look over a possible purchase near Dundee, but being a southern jessie I dont know any reputable specialists up in your fine country that could do a mechanical inspection on it for me. :( Any recommendations from the wise?

My fallback will be Murrays in Edinburgh, I guess they're the nearest dealer?

Any advice and guidance will be greatly appreciated. :)

Ta,
Paul

Someone here may know the car if you tell us what it is?

Oooo, closer than Edinburgh too, nowhere near Argentina, ta! :)
Keep 'em coming if there are other good places. Local knowledge is a wonderful thing :thumbsup

The car and owner dont have much history up there, he's new to the marque and got the car from down here (about 30 miles from me!).

3 years ago I'd have agreed with that, but look at what you've done/changed/improved on your car.

I'd say that your time as an apprentice has well and truly been served by now.

s'ok guys, ta for all the offers :thumbsup
I dont mind coughing up for a specialist to check it over, saves you feeling bad (or pissing yourself laughing ;)) if I break down half way home
