Last year: car mysteriously covered a chunk of miles between dopping it off and picking it up for no good reason. Someone fancied a burn in my car I suspect
. Dealt with clueless receptionist who offered no apology for the tyres I had ordered not being fitted, in spite of me reminding them when I dropped the car off. Never got to speak with the person who actually worked on my car. Fleeced 334 quid for bog standard service 
.This year: great drive down to Newcastle on quiet roads. Dealt with friendly, knowledgeable, like minded enthusiasts who inspired confidence that the car was in good hands. Pleasant wander round the centre of town in warm sunshine. Returned to a very reasonable bill of £140 for the same service as last year. Equally fun drive back up.
