I've got a Snooper S4 Neo GPS plus the plug-in radar detector - S100 RLD which I've not yet got around to putting on e-bay.

Still got the boxes, and can update for you. Have checked with Snooper and they will transfer the monthly subscription.

PM me with an offer if you are interested.

Can easily arrnage delivery from Kirkcaldy to Cupar too

i use snooper sapphire. happy with performance. i think it comes with a 2amp fuse in the charger. doesnt last. not even 3amp. been using a 5amp fuse and seems to work perfectly fine.
i did think it was a problem with the elise 12v outlet. but even my uncle's snooper sapphire unit had the same problem when connected in his S4

Evening guys........

Firstly all the fixed speed cameras are on "tinto-net", so have a squiz at that.

Most non "Gatso" speeding offences are detected by mobile units (marked hi-viz cars and vans) that use "falcon pro-laser", which doesn't show up on snoopers.......despite manufacturers claim!

After that is the vascar system, which uses the car to measure the distance and a stopwatch type system the calculates av speed using speed=distance/time......

I also believe they are trying to pass legislation regarding the use of detectors.......although I may be wrong?????

sorry guys!

Just choose the correct roads to "bend the law"?????????

I have Andy G's Origin B2, which I think is great - definitely saved me from a couple of tickets on the A90 last night :-)
They are currently legal, but I think that there is some legislation going through the EU at the moment which may monitor or prohibit them. But it's the EU, so they'll argue about it for years!

So is there anything that will pick up the laser from the mobile vans, as they seem to be poping up all over Fife.?
I have been offered a Snooper S2 for twenty bucks, and he recons it picks up these vans ????????

Try it if you want.......I don't reckon it will work.......I had Snooper S5 and tested it myself.......it did not work.

Laser alarm did go off at random times though!

I don't know of anything that works although I have to admit I haven't looked in years.........

Some of the folk on here will be familiar with my 'occasionally slightly extravagent' driving style. I have a clean licence (touch wood), and have only ever been done once (82mph in a 70). It is all about driving fast on the right roads, at the right time, and applying common sence and observation to your driving. I may appear to drive around like a loon, but know when to reign it in.... mostly

Dom......

Your comments are like holding a big metal rod into the sky during a lightning storm!

Kidding!

If you do get caught speeding and its not a taffic cop then remember that its hard to hand out a ticket to a person who realises they've done something wrong and has learned from the experience..........if its a traffic cop, keep quiet and don't waste your breath...........although most are petrolheads so you may still get away with it?????????

Camera vans are all marked so just keep your eyes peeled (not a fool-proof plan I know!).

anyway......I've bored you all enough.....blah blah....

Just spotted an Origin B2 (brand new) for £150 here: http://www.blatchat.com/t.asp?Id=131121

Is this a good price?
