Rallytrek

Post by greedyboythomson » Tue May 29, 2007 12:04 am

Was browsing the Rallytrek website, I see they have a European run set up for September. I've always wanted to do a bit of touring. Has anyone been on one of these? There was one in Scotland in April?

I did indeed. Trev is a mate of mine and he is a top bloke!

I believe iang(vxr220) was on the Scottish trek in April.

The European trip for me was 4000 miles in 9 days and i did all the driving! Highlights included Goodwood, the Nurburg ring, autobahn (managed 150mph), some of the monaco WRC stages, maranello, venice etc etc. This year they are doing stelvio pass and also cutting down the mileage, which is probably a good idea. I would be doing it again if it were not for the French Frolic. Here are a couple of pics! Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions! cheers Ed

Cheers! How many go on a trek at a time? Is it mostly performance cars?

I went on the first one and there was around 8 cars. I think they are looking at around 30 cars this time around. There was an old saab, a vw mk2 cabrio, scooby wrx, another elise, and s2000 iirc amongst others. You can pretty much take anything you like! cheers Ed :thumbsup
