EFA, Yes you are old! :thumbsup

I'm really going to show my age but what does EFA mean?

Besides, girls like older men (not boys) and my insurance is way cheaper

There is no magic instruction or set of guidelines that will fill in all the gaps - you build on relationships to get to know people - that surely is half the fun.
Yes we know that   , however some of the younger generation require to be taken by the hand, bottle fed, their arses wiped and that's after leaving school.........most can tell you smartly the volume and density of a jam jar howeverask them to remove the lid ................................. :?: :?: :?: :?: :damnfunny :damnfunny

Just speaking from experience

Instructions my a8s8 :damnfunny

Ah , but dont forget as the SE massive have pointed out elises are very affordable now for your young average Joe , surely the influx of "young muppets" is to be expected , now that the S1 isnt so "upmarket" ????

So basically alot of car snobery going on when really the car whch can be had for what 7k ? hasnt really got much snob factor at all ?.

elise = cheap car =affordable to annyone=different personalitys within a group. Simple

Gone are the days when young men would save till they were 30/wait till the kids have grown up and moved out , to buy a lotus .

The fact is that anyone can "live the dream" now ,"young muppets"...should be expected on the forum, get over it .

please exclude me from this scenario as I dont own the above mentioned cars....... :popcorn

Not quite mate - there's a difference between owning the car whilst not being an enthusiast, and signing onto a forum where the majority are enthusiasts :)

Jamie - looking forward to meeting you on Saturday night - I think you are going to be very suprised by the age demographic on here.

There's very few tweed wearing, pipe smoking old codgers amonst our ranks - and the ones that "may" fall into that catagory are really funny and witty gents.

:withstupid

I think you will find there isn't any car snobbery on here. We have a mix of people with loads of different circumstances. We have millionaires, people who are skint, people who had an Elise and stay with the forum for years and we have people who want one that may never be able to afford one through circumstance....

I don't think I have heard anyone use the word "jealous" until recently. ..

Perhaps you have missunderstood some of the S1 vrs S2 banter that we throw around at each other, the my cars better than yours willy waving game that goes on... none of of it is serious, all of them are good cars (except maybe the VX bricks :P )

If really wanted to wave my willy about I would have went out and bought the GT3 I was looking at last month... but I would rather retire when I a 55 than 65. Choices choices.

.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

Righto, Moderator hat on briefly.

This thread has done a great job of surfacing all the issues and getting great banter and buy-in from all spectrums.

We very nearly got to "all friends again" a couple of pages back, so please let's leave it there and give people a chance to meet up and get to know one another better.

I wouldn't want to have to lock the thread, but I think we all see it's served its purpose.

thanks guys ... n gals ... hoping to see as many of you as poss at forthcoming events!
