Just collected today after annual service.
Usual warm welcome from the double act that is Moncrieff and Ware (Morecambe and Wise anyone?!), and free reign to drool over the new hardware kicking around in the showroom whilst Craig was comforting another valued customer. Volvo's included (eek!).
Anyway, the bill was only marginally above the standard service rate, despite a number of small but tangible jobs being carried out in addition.
What I am liking more and more is the pre-MOT assessment we have been doing each year now, given UJI's age. During the annual service, Craig's team take the time to point out things that might, could or almost certainly would cause an MOT fail come July, and I then have adequate time to work out how to fund, source, and address the things that will matter, during the intervening couple of months.
This makes a very big difference between the car sitting "off the road" in the garage while I tackle the unexpected, versus having it fully on the road for maximum enjoyment throughout the summer months. Where it matters most, of course.
So thanks again fellas. The drive home was a treat, as usual. Oh and sorry for Eilidh saying "Daddy when we get the car home will we wash it?" - please don't tell the valet boys
