V6 Exige - NOW FULLY BOOKED

Post by GraemeLotus » Wed Jul 18, 2012 10:26 pm

It really is pretty magic. I've spent a lot of time in it of late (4000km and 2 weeks in Europe, will be 1500 miles++ and 2 weeks in UK) and after another day of demos at Christopher Neil's today (another tomorrow, then MMC Friday and Saturday) I've concluded it's one of the best cars I've ever driven. The ceaseless pace, genuinely exotic (not just loud, but cultured) noise, magic grip, and then generally more calm covering of longer distances when you're not in the mood (like last night) make it much more rounded than most previous Lotii I've driven. For something I look forward to the first 5 miles every morning it's ahead of 160 Sport, Mk1 Exige, Sport 350 Esprit, 240PP Mk2 Exige, and even Evora which were the previous winners.

But for me the Roadster - purer looks, wee bit more interior, soft-top for weekend shower-avoiding purposes, and what a noise - would be the one.

Starlight Black, Venom Red perforated quilted leather, Race pack, Diamond Cut wheels, AC, PDC and heated seats (for when I'm not in Norfolk).

That is all - just more interesting typing this than yet another spreadsheet on Premier Inn wifi.

:cheers

EDIT - Brandon informs me all the test drive slots are full, but photos and drooling most welcome....and I'll be back soon, fear not

Brandon warned me today that you were inbound, Graeme! Sadly don't think I'll make it to see you as unlikely to be in the office in Edin on Friday, and away on Sat. Don't let the guys drool over you (or the car) toooo much. And bring some sunshine with you, will ya?!

Orange Elise S looking tidy though...

Oh, and if you want reminding of how it SHOULD be done, then you'll find UJI lurking in the shed somewhere awaiting final touches post-MOT ;-)

Graeme,

I do not know if you would be allowed to yet but pics of the Roadster would be appreciated, especially as that's my ideal combination (unless Zest yellow is an option)

Obviously you can ditch the heated seats as there is still some S1 weight saving soul left in me :D

My mates just ordered one of the Cups? (its got the 3 on the front) from Brandon so of course had to have a good read up.
Got to say its the first time ever that Ive wanted to by a new car! Rather its the first time Ive thought I want to spend that kind of money, just a pity I aint got it.
As above graeme, give us some photos of the soft top.

Are you test driving it or just going to dribble on it?
