[ My son used to think he was amazing, he was about 10 at the time] The fact that he was getting a run in a race car with a television in the passengers side showing him where he was heading had he been big enough to see out and that he had Meatloaf Bat Out Of Hell playing the same time had nothing to do with it!!!
TV screen and BAT OUT OF HELL sounds like the signature of Iain Ferguson

I proved that playing "BAT out of Hell" can take over a second of Kames timings (and 1sec of Knockhill timings) There is a cheap upgrade tip for all you trackday drivers

Glad to hear your son is getting on well with driving, maybe he could now give me some pax laps as I no longer have my Elise. Here is a shot that might bring back memories of watching the TV
and here is a link to other Kames photos including Tut and Lawrence.
I loved Kames and spent loads of time on it during my time in my Elise. One SIDC day I think I had a record of around 40 goes (120 laps), I just kept joining the back of the short queue.
You can have loads of fun, even in a bog standard car, as its more about cornering, braking and smooth car control. Will try and get down to spectate at some stage in the day.
Will try and look out the video clip I have of doing a 180 on track and still managing to keep the car on the tarmac
