Also picked up this useful link for all of us afflicted due to the sun:

As we are Scottish Elise's I think the oatmeal remedy may be useful, so time to break open the packet of porridge :D

they thought that we put on a great display, and should start our own race series!!!!!!!

Ace!! when do we get started on that?

My face matches the colour of my car at the moment. Got really badly sunburnt but it was worth it   I had a brilliant day and my dad who I dragged along was very impressed by the lotus's there. He didn't really want to go as he wanted to watch the grandprix instead but on the way home he said he was glad I forced him to go.

Where are the photos with the type 25 and all the other loti on the track going to be put up or published???

I am ashamed to say it was me who went off
It was my first proper track session and I thought I was driving well within my limits (but turns out that wasn't the case).
I was well impressed by the standard of driving on the track and perhaps this lulled me into a false sense of security. Still, no excuse.

I would like to offer my apologies to everyone. If anyone wants to pm some abuse to me feel free - I'm sure I deserve it.

[quote="DJ"]Don't think I can add more about the day that hasn't already been said, so to repeat a few other points; fantastic day, great weather, burnt napper and a huge thanks and appreciation to Tut for his hard work on Friday & Monday and all the unseen stuff during the months leading up to the weekend.

A wee personal memory for me is arriving in shorts and t-shirt. Was standing talking to Kayfur at 9.10am when the shout goes out for anyone else wanting to go on track. A few minutes minutes later I am long-sleeved, long-trousered, helmet on and somehow end up leading the warm up lap.

:withstupid Also did the last minute track thing, which was superb . Cheers to Dezzy etc for their excellent stewardship .

Good to meet all those people who's names I have forgotten

Great day, good to meet up with so many faces, old and new.
Big thanks to Jamie for taking Zoe out on the parade lap, sorry I didnt get a chance to speak to you afterwards matey.
Back of my neck is like a cooked lobster.
Also thanks to everyone who dropped off seats at the marquee, had plenty of folk stop buy just to get out of the sun for 10 mins (which I think is unheard of for KH!)

hey, everybody makes mistakes, dont worry about it. I red flagged a porsche night once when i stuck it in the barriers at exit of clarks. Nobody beat me up more than myself that night. Anyway, It was nothing like the tracknight i was at tonight where they had 4 red flags in the first 44 minutes

And there was me hoping you were going to be along on Friday night to do some instruction for my bruv in law, nxy!! In the end I had to do it myself, the guy will be scarred for life ;-) But he did keep it on the black stuff, and he did improve over the evening, so maybe not so bad eh...

PS - we made it to KH for 6pm, over 90 mins after leaving Linlithgow, enduring the worst FRB jam I've ever known. Got a "stragglers briefing" for 5 mins at the Race Control office and were on track by about 6.20pm...nae bad! Oh and Ian (nxy) is *hooked*. We will book you for his next outing, please rearrange your rosters as appropriate 8) Oh and I'll book you for one of mine...if I ever get back on a circuit [in my own car, that is...]

glad to hear it, and always happy to help of course. I was car sharing with Simon Ironside tonight, under the pretence of instruction, but his car was sooooo much fun, that i wasnt very disciplined.

What a weekend! :cheers

I can only echo the comments off all people, we had a great weekend!
Even the mishap with Ferry's car couldnt spoil our weekend. A control link snapped out of the chassis of his Seven during the Friday track session. This caused his rear axle to be loose on the RH side  But... after some boring slow miles from Dumfernline to Newcastle, we managed to bring the Seven back home.
At least Ferry committed to bring his Elise next time

Unfortunately, we were not able to do the Saterday run because of this problem, (sorry Bob) but we spent some good time at KH looking at all the race series and having a close look at Tut's car ;)

I've just stepped into my office after catching some sleep at the Newcastle ferry. My head seems to boil off after all that sun 8)

A big thank you to Tut for organising all of this, I can now officially confirm.. KH is addictive :thumbsup

A pleasure as always to see yourself and Ferry again Yvo, though it would make a change if Ferry could just once take his 7 back in one piece.

Many thanks to you both for re-fitting my anti roll bar on Saturday, even though that robbing bugger charged me £30 for a couple of 1" bushes.

Any plans for another cloggie run this year?
