I used to (15 years ago) cycle to work on a tandem MTB with my girlfriend at the time. I used to drop her off at work then cycle the additional 2 miles to my work on my own. Funny it would have been past your new office.

There's a one legged guy goes about here on an old skool motorcycle & sidecar (Triumph I think). Always has a collie dog in the sidecar, and an old-style visor-less helmet with no chin-guard. I'd have thought they were illegal nowadays...Looks pretty cool though, and the dog seems to enjoy it! 8)

I used to have a one legged girlfriend who was a bike.......never did ride her though.......but my mate wanted to tandem her
(I am of course kidding, lowering the tone and please don't start picking on me the usual cheeky SE'ers!!)
How the heck do you ride a bike with one leg......that has to be almost as hard as driving a car with no shoes :thumbsup

Strangely that never crossed my mind until you said it...

Passed a sky blue DB7 today.

The best odd spot for me had to be last winter. It must have been right into the winter as I was leaving work (4.30pm) and it was pitch black. Howling gale, raining, and an odd exhaust note coming up just round the corner. Now this was an access road at Ninewells hospital, not even a proper road.
The noise was then accompanied by atrocious creamy light from some old school headlamps.
and round the corner comes a beautiful bright red E Type Jag.

Ok, not a fantastic spot, but amazing in those surroundings at that time of year!

I can only assume that the monoped rider works on the principle that if he goes quick enough he will never need to stop until he arrives at his destination ( or gets knocked off en route ). He crossed in front of me and 2 other cars setting off from lights - despite the lights being against him, causing us all to brake - he then rode the centre line in between traffic heading with a missile like velocity towards a bus, a quick diagonal cut in between two moving cars to avoid the bus , up onto the pavement and vanished around the corner with the free spinning right hand side pedal turning faster than a washing machine drum on a fast cycle (pardon the pun) . A surreal and fleeting glimpse of man overcoming disability :thumbsup

Think how fast he was when he had two legs (before he hit and got runover by that bus)...
