I'm reading this with interest,
good efford !
some ideas we had ourselves :
make your own subframe and make it strong enough to cope with "big" torque and power
we are doing a 400/450 Bhp AUDI 2.0 with "some" tricks in an s1 Motorsport body
about the tight fit : make sure the engine mounts are stiff enough but also soft enough to stop the chassis multiplying the engine vibration noises

good job ! keep going !

There are many good guys on there, our own Bob van M is one of them, but at times they are like vultures around a carcass, just want to put forward their own uninformed opinions or slate anything that does not agree with their tunnel vision. Engine conversions are one of their bêtes noires, so if you are outside of the Round Table you will have no chance.

Don't worry though, S_E will look after you.

Bob, upload the image to photoshack, etc., and then link to it, or resize it so that it fits, or email it to robiniddon@googlemail.com and I'll sort it for you.

Cheers,
Robin

That's why they wear cloggs and are called cloggies Robin, still in the stone age.

However they are good with dykes.

OI, Tut !
even with dykes we sometimes need another idiot to put his finger in a hole

I hope that you now finally realise why I gave you a pair of cloggs many years ago

They will have about 2* of angle back to the hubs when viewed from above, less angle than the K series setup and perfectly level when viewed from the rear.

That clutch salve cylinder looks massive compared to the wee AP job on the Elise. Are you having to uprate the master cylinder?

Great read so far. :)

The Mr2 and Elise slave cylinders are a very similar size, must look bigger in the pics?

Ha, is that not the selector shaft assembly? Slave cylinder's not in any of the pics.

I'd be changing those gear cables if I were you. They're not gonna last much longer.

Why? What's wrong with them apart from the plastic outer cover split, the cables themselves are fine

In my experience, once the outer plastic sheath splits it will not be long before the outer separates from the crimped end.

Will be a right pain in the arse when it falls to bits and its stuck in gear so makes a lot of sense to change it now whilst its in bits.

Up to you though obviously.

Where the subframe is marked on the left hand side in the gear linkage photo... is that marked to be cut out for clearance?
