After six trouble free years in this

including two fantastic trips through Europe and down to its birthplace over as many of the alpine passes as I could convince my other half that she could and should put up with

I have been won over to the Lotus community. I've been out in various Exige and Elises (thanks DJ and Mass amongst many others) whilst I have wallowed around in my Spyder and whilst tickled by the idea of an Elise practicality won over in the end and the good folk at MMC negotiated a happy deal for both of us to part me (

So, having picked it up last saturday I had booked a night over in Appin and we managed to get up to Knockhill for the last half hour of the SIDC track day last saturday and to catch up with DJ and his new Exige

before then getting to know the car on the drive through familiar territory of Glencoe to an overnight in Port Appin.

I already know a few SE and SIDC folk from my odd track days in the spyder although I haven't been out in it in the last couple of years. I hope to be able to hook up on the occasional run in the future. For now though I'm just getting used to having a car with much less hp but much lighter and such fantastic suspension! The number plate will be changing in due course once the DVLA have sorted out my transfer.
