It's like an Aladdin's cave isn't it?

When you were in by, don't suppose you saw the blue 1972 fiat 500 getting the 1.6litre Subaru conversion? That's mine

They're bringing it back from the dead. Going to be a bit trigger's broom when they're finished but really starting to make some progress at last (it's been down there over a year) and should be in the paint shop this month. Nice folk to deal with, but crazy busy all the time.

Engine from Malc at Yorkshire Engines (so it'll definitely be ok and you have some comeback) - supplied with the full loom ECU if you ask for it - may be cheaper and less hassle than a full bike, lateral car wet sump from one of many suppliers like Rilltech / Extreme Engines, bike ECU will probably be perfect unless you want to put a different ECU and spend loads getting it mapped as well as the OEM one . . . simples

. . . many, many hillclimb single seaters use this exact route so it's well understood, almost none use dry sumps, probably use an electric water pump given the length of the pipe run to the front of the car . . . good project, dunno why more people haven't tried it . . .

If anyone can get around some of the engineering issues, Craig can.

You will need a reverse gear.
So, you will need a Quaife Transverse box.
This is what was in my old Westfield Megablade.....
Once, in an empty carpark, i was reversing quite fast & changed gear 3 times
think i got up to 40mph in reverse, then crapped my self.
