Open ahead of schedule - how often does that happen?

Cheers,
Robin
Well, good on them for getting it done ahead of the schedule which they shared with us....for all we know yesterday might have been the deadline all along

/cynic.
Regardless, they got it open sooner than people thought - many people (myself included) doubted that they would get it open for the date they predicted - so whether that's by sand bagging or whether that's just by things working out for a change, I'm happy either way :-)

Can't start to imagine the labour costs involved in that, for what should have been a total of a couple of hours work...... rant rant.....
I walked past a bin lorry today, parked up. Driver sitting there reading the paper - then I noticed the other guy sprawled over the rest of the bench seat fast asleep, face buried - must have been a good night last night :-) Not a lot of bins being emptied today then ;-) (Was a private company in this case, though - commercial waste).

We did have some workers fixing a pot hole in the road a while back (was last christmas I think). It was as you describe, except they were blocking my garage for three weeks whilst nothing happened beyond digging up on day 1, covering hole with metal plate on day 2 and fencing off whole area and pissing off for three weeks :-) Probably there was a more important bit of road to not fix somewhere else at the time (garage was empty, so I didn't care, but I did wonder about the neighbours who actually use their garage!).

Cheers,
Robin

Here we go again then.

This is foolish.

No safety benefit. Definitely about revenue generation.

The 1 warning letter is laughable. Why? Do you only ever get 1? Do you get 1 per camera partnership? Per year? etc

Good idea re changing this to a separate topic.

The inquiry is underway. Getting a little awkward for SNP?

If it rumbles on another month or two, it might impact their election hopes.

Bet it doesn't.

Labour are tail-spinning into obscurity helped by having taken the John Major approach to media management.

Cameron is pretty much the walking definition of an English Tory.

Oh joy

5 more years of whining for more powers then running a mile if they appear
5 more years of framing everything to be the fault of the english/tory party/westminster
5 more years of making a case of independence while ignoring everything else
5 more years of face paint and flags
5 more years of complete arrogance believing they are untouchable

The SNP took a gamble on the forth road bridge and lost

If they had the balls to admit they took a gamble they might gain a wee bit of respect as they could not have less from me

I saw a couple of HGVs on the bridge this morning, although signs are still up to say they are not allowed.

Your average SNP voter is too busy posting "We are the 45!!111" on facebook and angrily proposing boycotts of Scottish companies, based in Scotland, paying Scottish taxes and employing Scottish workers because said company has the temerity to use some marketing that isn't pathetically insular and parochial and, heaven fcking forbid, increase sales that will generally benefit people in Scotland.

They are far too pig sht thick stupid to notice that the SNP are (even for politicians) compulsive lying bellends. If any do, Jeanie Krankie just has to have a wee "tories, waistemonster!" rant for the faithful to hoist pitchforks in search of an Englishman to run through.
