B@STARDS

Post by RDH » Sun Nov 19, 2006 2:39 pm

Yep me again! Some b@stard has keyed the back of my car!
Image

I can just about tolerate parking accidents - but that's just fcuking vandalism!

Makes me thinks about trading down to a £500 banger!

Any ideas how much it'd be to smooth out and respray the back? And where to get it done?

Or should I just leave it as it is?

I know we use a scratch repair company at work. Depending how deep the scratch is, our own mechanic at work is pretty good at getting rid of such damage, and is cheap too. I'll speak to him tomorrow & let you know.

holysh1t mate! - your not having much luck in these past few months with the car.

Was this outside your house again? Did the past incidents not happen on a saturday night?

can you get a line of sight down to your car from the house? if so, i'd be rigging up some CCTV or something...

Speachless.

Don't let it get you down - it's not worth it. It could be worth finding somewhere else to park the car over the weekends, but I know that in the cities that just might not be an option.

Cheers,
Robin

To be honest I think it may have happened in Halfrauds car park at Braehead! - but I'm not sure!

I'll see how much it costs to fix and then decide if it's worth it!

Sick and mindless
You can only hope that one night someone catches them going something else, and shoves beloved Burrberry cap so up their ass that the taste of Bucky is spoiled forever by the after taste of sweat and cheap hair gel from the peek lodged in this throat.

I understand the mindset - its the same as the people who ask "is that your old mans car" - except the people who scratch cars dont even have the balls to be jealous to your face. Sad, but dont let it put you down - again, you have what they will never have!

I've just worked it out - they were just trying to emphasise the word Lotus by underlining it!

They could at least have used a straight edge!

fecking little barstewards!!!

Really sorry to hear that Rob. That's such bad luck. And I thought the West End was meant to be a nice place to live! Things like this make me determined to buy a house with a garage!

I just don't understand the random vandalism mentality at all. I could almost understand it (although obviously don't agree with it) if it was someone who was deliberately out to get you, but the random thing just confuses me. It's just utter jealousy. A guy I know had his Audi A4 convertible keyed, and had the wing mirrors kicked off a couple of times. Lives in Park Circus, which I also thought was nice. I guess they target the nice areas.

Hope you get it sorted soon mate and without too much expense.

Do you think a car cover would help? Can you padlock car covers on? Or could you rig up some kind of alarm to the car cover? Probably a stupid idea, but just trying to think how you could catch them or discourage them . . .

I quite often park up in Park Circus- Laura lives round there - never had any bother there! I also sometimes park round in front of the Hilton - Kew Terrace between the Porsches and teh DB7 - again never any bother - but then I only leave it there if I'm not using it for work!

I'm considering a ramp up to my flat - then it can live indoors!

Was thinking about a cover - but then -that's a PITA
